The GOETHE SOCIETY, an undergraduate organization affiliated with the USC Sidney Harman Academy for Polymathic Study, explores the cultural resources of the USC campus and greater Los Angeles. Each excursion will be accompanied by an academic presentation and discussion keyed to a specific artistic or scholarly focus.
For our fall experience, we will take 9 students to the Getty Villa outdoor matinee of Oedipus the King, Mama! (calendar description: https://www.getty.edu/calendar/oct-oedipus-the-king-mama/). Please email Karin Huebner at khuebner@usc.edu if you are interested in attending. Nine students will be selected by lottery.
DATE: Wednesday, September 17
TIME: 2:00 pm pick up on campus, 7:00 pm return to campus.
There will be time to tour the Getty Villa Museum and grounds prior to the play.
