Sherry Velasco

Sherry Velasco is professor of Spanish & Portuguese & gender studies at USC.  She specializes in early modern Spanish literature and theater, particularly women's narratives.  Her work blends gender theory, queer theory and an interest in visual culture.  She is the author of four books; her most recent, Lesbians in Early Modern Spain is forthcoming from Vanderbilt University Press.
