Objects of Knowledge III

Conversations regarding objects of knowledge, visual and material worlds from a polymathic perspective.

This series of conversations examines the diverse ways that images and things interact, embody and generate ways of knowing, which guide the course of human action and understanding and engender creativity and innovation.

Advanced graduate students are invited to give a half hour presentation of their research, followed by a faculty member respondent who will comment on their paper and enter into dialogue with them. The discussion then opens up to the larger group, which will look specifically at questions of visual culture and evidence.

Held on select Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00pm – 6:30pm throughout the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters in the Harman Academy, DML 241 unless otherwise noted.
