ZYGO [zygo /ˈzʌɪʊ, ˈzɪʊ / pref. relating to union or joining]

As we come up on Halloween and El Dia de los Muertos every year, stories of paranormal activity, haunted houses, and communicating with the dead become commonplace.  This session will explore meditation, praying, mindfulness, past-lives, near death experiences, and other realms of spirituality as they exist in the "real world" of medicine. Lunch will be provided.

ZYGO is a joint program of the Sidney Harman Academy for Polymathic Study and the Levan Institute for Humanities and Ethics.  The series is organized by USC students in health and medicine who seek dialogue with USC faculty across disciplines in order to increase the integration of ethical themes into their curriculum.
