THE GOETHE SOCIETY, an undergraduate organization affiliated with the USC Sidney Harman Academy for Polymathic Study, explores the cultural resources of the USC campus and greater Los Angeles. Each session will be accompanied by an academic presentation and discussion keyed to a specific artistic or scholarly focus.

For our final spring 2026 experience, we will take 10 polymaths to the Butterfly Pavilion exhibit being held at the Natural History Museum across from the USC campus.  Please email Karin Huebner at khuebner@usc.edu if you are interested in attending.  Students will be selected by lottery and notified on Monday, April 20.

DATE | TIME: Friday, April 24 | 1:30pm to 3:00pm
We will meet at the Harman Academy, DML 241 at 1:30pm, then walk over to the Natural History Museum (across the street from campus) to visit the Butterfly exhibit, which will last approximately 30 minutes. Following our tour, we will gather together for brief reflection, after which students are welcome to stay and visit the museum or walk back to campus.
